What a day at the track race day started off with a track which I can only describe as very challenging damp cold and very slippery due to the lockdown and the track not being used managed to push the bike in the first heat and got a good result in the second heat and third heat I was making different adjustments to the bike which didn’t really seem to make that much difference due to the conditions I went into my first final with the softest ties I had and as many will weights as I could put on the bike managed managed to win the first final as we went into the second final Martin Woodcock managed to pull ahead of me by about six seconds but every time I pushed to try and catch him I made a mistake due to being too aggressive unfortunately for Martin his belt snapped on his bike and he had to retire from the race allowing me to take first place I think I may have caught him in the end but who knows as they say that’s racing but overall overall a great day and thanks to John and Mark and Colin for making the effect and putting in the effort to make the day run as well as it did but I think the biggest shout from me goes out to the marshals that marshalled the bikes you guys were really good hopefully at the next meeting the track will be dry and you can witness some consistent racing without us sliding all over the track. see all of you petrol heads in two weeks time for the 1/5 534 wheel drive race day
